
ABOUT
Matt Swaim is an award winning architectural illustrator and color pencil artist who graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 1995 with a degree in Illustration. Matt has since focused the majority of his career in the field of architectural illustration working with a national clientele, which consists of architects, real-estate developers, interior designers and contractors.
His work has been featured in numerous publications and has been awarded the American Society of Architectural Illustrators’ internationally juried competition, Award of Excellence three times. He has been awarded Jacksonville’s AIA Lynda Mack award, and his work has been included in The American Society of Architectural Illustrator’s Architecture in Perspective traveling exhibit, The New York Society of Architectural Renderers’ The Art of the Architectural Illustrator, in New York City and in the Japanese Architectural Renders Association’s 2012 Exhibition of Architectural Visualization.
In 2019 Swaim was selected to be included into an esteemed group of professional artists, illustrators, and designers that form the United States Mint’s renowned Artistic Infusion program as one if it’s official artist for coin and medal design.
Outside of architectural illustration, Swaim also works on traditional illustration projects, is an avid pen and ink sketch artist and does commissioned color pencil portraits. Both his architectural work and color pencil work have been featured in Jacksonville’s Arbus magazine and his portraiture and sketches have been selected for inclusion in Northlight book’s Strokes of Genius 5, 6 and 11.
